1. How Guess the Grid Works

1.1 Three predictions per race weekend, all free

Guess the Grid runs three separate predictions each race weekend — Qualifying, Grid Predictor, and DNF Predictor. All three are completely free to enter — no stake, no entry fee. You can hold up to 2 separate entries each for Qualifying and Grid Predictor (each scored independently), and 1 entry for DNF Predictor. Everyone also picks a favourite team when they start playing, which locks in for the rest of the season and puts them on that team's own leaderboard alongside the site-wide one.

1.2 Qualifying prediction

Drag and drop your predicted top 10 into the exact order you think Q3 will finish. Whoever tops that race's weekly Qualifying leaderboard — their single best of up to 2 entries — wins a prize based on how many positions they got exactly right (see 2.4 below). Everyone else gets nothing, no matter how close they got.

1.3 Grid Predictor

Drag and drop the grid into the order you think the drivers will finish. If you think a driver won't finish the race, drag them into the DNF zone instead of giving them a finishing position — every driver must end up either on the grid or in the DNF zone. Same as Qualifying, whoever tops that race's weekly Grid Predictor leaderboard wins a prize based on their correct calls (see 2.5 below); positions and DNF picks both count toward that score.

1.4 DNF Predictor

A free, standalone prediction with no finishing order to fill in — just pick every driver you think won't make it to the chequered flag. Match the real DNF list exactly and you win a free entry into that weekend's Package Deals prize draw. This one isn't leaderboard-ranked and doesn't pay cash — it's a single all-or-nothing prize-draw entry.

1.5 Lock times

Qualifying predictions lock the moment qualifying starts. Grid Predictor and DNF predictions lock the moment the race starts. Once locked, an entry can't be made or changed.

2. Scoring & Prizes

2.1 Penalties

Grid Predictor: scored against the final classified result, which already includes any time penalties applied after the chequered flag — not just the order cars crossed the line in. Qualifying: scored against the raw Q3 classification (fastest lap in the top-10 shootout), not the starting grid — a grid penalty for something like an unscheduled gearbox change doesn't change who was actually fastest, so it doesn't affect Qualifying scoring.

2.2 Scoring

Each position you predict exactly right counts as a correct call; in Grid Predictor, each driver you correctly predict as a DNF also counts toward the same total. If you hold 2 entries for a race, only your single best-scoring entry counts toward that week's leaderboard and prize — holding a second entry is a better shot at a good score, not a way to add scores together. The Weekly leaderboard ranks that one race; the Overall leaderboard adds up your best score from every scored race this season; the Team leaderboard is the same as Overall but only shows entrants who picked the same favourite team as you.

2.3 How prizes work

The only prize paid out right now is to whoever tops that race's Weekly leaderboard — separately for Qualifying and for Grid Predictor, so there are two winners (or winning groups) per race weekend. The Overall and Team leaderboards don't pay out for now; prizes for those are still to be decided. What the weekly winner gets depends on their winning score, per the tables below — this isn't a shared pot split by everyone who entered, it's a fixed prize scale. If more than one entrant ties for the top score, any cash prize splits evenly between them, but each tied winner still gets their own full Package Deals draw entry (entries are never split). Cash prizes are paid straight into your account balance and can be withdrawn the same way as any other balance, once your ID is verified.

3. Package Deals — Free Postal Entry

3.1 How to enter

Every Package Deals raffle can also be entered for free by post — see how to enter for the full instructions and address.

3.2 Terms

  • One entry per envelope — each entry must be individually written and posted separately.
  • Photocopied, mechanically reproduced, or otherwise duplicated entries will not be accepted.
  • Your entry must include your account's email address and the address registered on that account — used together to confirm the entry is genuinely yours. Entries we can't match on both can't be credited.
  • A postal entry gets exactly the same odds of winning as a paid entry — one entry, one ticket, no limit on how many you can send.
  • Entries are credited once received and reviewed — allow time for post to arrive before a raffle closes for its draw.
  • Standard postage costs are the only cost of entering this way.

4. General Terms & Conditions

Guess the Grid is a skill-based prediction game, not a game of chance — every prediction is free to enter, so no stake is ever placed on any outcome. Terms apply equally to the Qualifying, Grid Predictor, and DNF Predictor predictions offered each race weekend. Prize-draw entries won through any of the three feed into that weekend's Package Deals draw. Entrants must be 18 or over.

The full Terms & Conditions covering eligibility, your account, prizes, withdrawals, and everything else are set out on the Terms & Conditions page.
